Science Stream (PCM / PCB)

This pathway is traditionally chosen by students who have a strong interest in technology, innovation, and healthcare. It offers two distinct trajectories based on whether the student has focused on Mathematics or Biology.

  • Primary Focus: Innovation & Healthcare.

  • Key Educational Paths:

    • Technology: Engineering (B.Tech), which leads to diverse fields like computer science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and civil engineering.

    • Medicine: The MBBS degree is the foundation for becoming a medical doctor. Other critical paths include Pharmacy (B.Pharm), Nursing (B.Sc.), and physiotherapy.

    • Pure/Applied Sciences: A B.Sc. in research fields (such as physics, chemistry, biology, or microbiology) focuses on fundamental research and its practical application.

    • Defense Service: Entering the National Defence Academy (NDA) to serve in the Army, Navy, or Air Force.

Commerce Stream

This segment is designed for students interested in economics, business operations, and financial systems. It prepares individuals for roles in corporate management and financial analysis.

  • Key Educational Paths:

    • Finance: Chartered Accountancy (CA), Company Secretary (CS), and Cost and Management Accountant (CMA) are highly respected professional qualifications in accountancy and finance management.

    • Management: A Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) or Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) prepares students for entry-level roles in corporate management, marketing, and human resources.

    • Business: A Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) provides a broad understanding of accounting, business law, and economics.

 

Arts & Humanities

This stream offers the most diverse set of fields, focusing on critical thinking, societal structures, communication, and creative expression. It is chosen by students who want to engage deeply with people, policy, and social issues.

  • Primary Focus: Critical Thinking & Creativity.

  • Key Educational Paths:

    • Social Sciences: Degrees in psychology, sociology, political science, history, and economics provide a foundation for careers in research, teaching, policy, and counseling.

    • Media & Law: Journalism (BJMC) focuses on media communication, while a five-year integrated LL.B. degree is the required path for legal practice.

    • Creative Industries: Design (fashion, interior, or graphic) and advertising require specialized B.Des. or creative communication degrees.

Vocational & Skill-Based

This segment emphasizes practical application and hands-on skills rather than traditional academic study. It is designed to create a quick pathway to employment or specialized entrepreneurship.
